The Cauchos Industrial Park begins its production phase in Carabobo
The former Goodyear plant, located in the Los Guayos municipality, completed its testing and calibration period and began a new production phase. The project includes modernizing its lines, prioritizing supply to the domestic market, and a future export platform.
A new phase of production. National authorities inspected the Cauchos Industrial Park, the former Goodyear plant, to confirm the completion of its testing and calibration period and the start of its production phase. The project, facilitated by the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP), seeks to recover industrial capacity and prioritize domestic demand.
The plant's recovery has involved the work of more than 500 people who preserved their expertise and the facilities since 2018. During 2026, the incorporation of five four-cavity presses and two state-of-the-art assembly machines was also announced to expand and modernize the production lines.
An investment of close to US$28 million
According to external sources, the first stage involves an investment of close to US$28 million, allocated to the plant's recovery and technological upgrading. The project is backed by a fund with capital participation from Brazil, China and Bolivia.
The plant has begun producing tires and expects to reach 75,000 units by the end of 2026. Both that output and the possibility of exporting to Brazil and Europe are project targets, not results already achieved.
The reactivation of this industrial asset shows how existing infrastructure can regain production capacity, replace imports and prepare to compete in new markets. For investors, a clear institutional and operational path makes opportunities like this easier to assess.
