Venezuela signs four agreements and projects 97 containers a year at China's seafood fair
The Venezuela Azul pavilion held 215 B2B meetings at the China Fisheries & Seafood Expo in Qingdao. Four agreements were signed with importing companies.
Venezuela took part from October 28 to 30 in the 29th China Fisheries & Seafood Expo, in Qingdao, with the Venezuela Azul pavilion. The Ministry of Fisheries and 11 co-exhibiting companies attended.
The offer included 28 exportable products, among them shrimp, blue crab, striped catfish, snapper and lobster. The fair received 12,510 visitors.
The delegation held 215 B2B meetings with Asian importers and projects 97 containers a year. Four agreements were signed with Shanghai Fisheries Group, Shenzhen Higreen and WCH Seafoods Inc. They include a trial container of processed products.
The delegation met with the Chinese alliance CAPPMA. They reviewed the 20 species Venezuela already exports to China under Chinese customs protocols and pushed for the entry of blue crab.
CAPPMA will sign a letter of intent in November, during CIIE 2026. A joint investment with Shanghai Fisheries Group was also explored. The Ministry describes fishing as the country's second non-oil export engine.
