Qatar Airways launches the Doha-Bogotá-Caracas route with two weekly flights
Since November 4 the airline connects the Middle East with Caracas. It is the first Gulf airline to fly to Venezuela.
Since November 4 Qatar Airways operates the Doha-Bogotá-Caracas-Doha route, with two weekly frequencies. It flies on Wednesdays and Sundays with a Boeing 777-200LR.
It is the first Gulf airline to fly to Venezuela. Caracas and Bogotá are its 15th and 16th destinations in the Americas, a region where it has operated since 2010.
The airline's network exceeds 160 destinations. From Doha there are connections to Asia, Oceania and the Middle East.
The launch was planned for July and was postponed because of the double earthquake of June 24.
The acting president announced the route at the close of the Conindustria Congress. She said it will boost international trade.
