Tourism also grows in the regions. According to information provided by the Ministry of Tourism, the vice minister for National Tourism, Nadia Mignogna, and the vice minister for Tourism Projects and Works, Claudia Domínguez, visited several municipalities of Zulia State to learn about projects and identify needs on the ground.

The tour included historical and heritage tourism initiatives linked to local communities, including a visit to Providencia island. These actions are part of institutional work aimed at recognizing tourism assets and supporting proposals from local communities.

We come to listen, to learn and to accompany the dreams of those who have built their history on these waters.

From Castilletes to the Palmarejo pier

According to the institutional report, the delegation toured Castilletes and the Punta Perret lighthouse, visited the Jantuy inn and learned about proposals for the tourism development of the Palmarejo pier, in the Santa Rita municipality.

These visits help identify attractions, service providers and community projects whose technical, legal, environmental and financial viability will need to be assessed later.

For the investment agenda, this work broadens knowledge of the region's tourism potential. The initiatives, however, still need to be structured before they can be presented as formal investment opportunities with a defined budget, timeline, permits and participation model.
