Retail as a meeting point. The event was organized by the National Association of Supermarkets and Self-Service Stores (ANSA), the trade body that brings together the country's supermarket and self-service chains. The gathering brought together representatives from seven countries: Venezuela, Paraguay, Uruguay, Colombia, Panama, Bolivia and Brazil.
The gathering was conceived as a regional space to share experiences and promote more efficient and competitive retail commerce.
Retail within the distribution chain
The congress highlighted the role of retail commerce in distributing products, connecting production and consumption, and promoting Made in Venezuela goods. It also made it possible to compare operating, supply and logistics practices with representatives from other markets in the region.
For investors, events like this offer insight into the players, dynamics and capabilities of the national distribution chain, which helps in understanding how the domestic market works and where there are opportunities to take part.
